After die cutting I used a Sakura Clear Star gelly roll pen to give shine to the ornaments. I had to laugh at the date on my pen. I wrote on it with a black sharpie. It is from 2013. Ten years and it still flows out. The tree is stacked on top of a second die cut for a bit of dimension. The little stars are the cut outs from the ornaments. I gave them a touch of pumice stone distress ink with a blending brush so they wouldn't compete with the white in the tree. A curved snow bank to plant the tree into made a nice anchor point and I thought an embossed sentiment with SU Smokey Slate embossing powder was a good finishing touch. <br /><p></p>Janeenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08558127854905817842noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4054984910798746600.post-12728675524209672952023-02-20T10:03:00.002-08:002023-02-20T10:04:11.412-08:00Beautiful Day<p> It's a beautiful day. I clicked a couple of links and found The Color Hues Challenge Blog. This week the challenge was for <a href="https://colorhuesthecolorchallenge.blogspot.com/2022/11/color-hues-53-scarlet-and-green.html">Green and Red.</a> It looked like fun and I jumped in. I was glad to find them. I have never used the little Mama Elephant dogs or the Bones from Whimsy. I'm on a mission to use things from my stash and also to use up old packs of Christmas pattern papers. <br /></p><p><a href="https://colorhuesthecolorchallenge.blogspot.com/2022/11/color-hues-53-scarlet-and-green.html">Color Hues Challenge #53 </a></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaxAWLXXKCmdR5lQlg2dTF5iDusrnHkUq_4YqHz1Z52Dx0R5fpM0tWt2oscFSlIEiWxFvCAgbsKBqMxj_latSj3hL3mZpzMemONArADzELpMzjsa265h_Ry5J1vHFcXh2bdZb8WJaTy9v0sl7aU9pSX7GbJIP-4NdH63YQtxmSeuTD53iIoJyPnyQX7w/s1998/20221118_221630.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1998" data-original-width="1429" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaxAWLXXKCmdR5lQlg2dTF5iDusrnHkUq_4YqHz1Z52Dx0R5fpM0tWt2oscFSlIEiWxFvCAgbsKBqMxj_latSj3hL3mZpzMemONArADzELpMzjsa265h_Ry5J1vHFcXh2bdZb8WJaTy9v0sl7aU9pSX7GbJIP-4NdH63YQtxmSeuTD53iIoJyPnyQX7w/s320/20221118_221630.jpg" width="229" /></a></div><br /> <br /><p></p><p><br /></p>Janeenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08558127854905817842noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4054984910798746600.post-6730351536283990622022-10-21T15:50:00.001-07:002022-10-21T15:50:33.741-07:00HALLOWEEN FUN<p> It's fun to make cards for the neighbor kids. We don't give out candy anymore. I just give each of the five neighbor kids a cash gift and a card and leave the lights off. I treated myself to some Halloween stamps from Unity called Little Boos. The rest of the card is made from scraps and an old Unity stamp i received as a gift. I used a bit of splatter on this before adhering the little cut out image. Simon Says Stamp <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Simon-Says-Stamp-Card-Stock-100-BURNT-ORANGE-OR22-67957">Burnt Orange Card Stock</a> is a MUST for Halloween. </p><p>Challenges: <a href="https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?p=29472">Monday Challenge Simon Says Stamp</a><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJfyPH7dQkXE21V2c4HrB-1D49t308B_w2NzTgK1tZm3F5XNE5ymXhS2JVTyOeCVsPpJGun5_mzW5up3iJ_4CiTZlFT-ju_pFiVDXjMNG0lU4T0Ff9KCpzTj7MLxixBR1Nj1LpEuYHoDhX4-FQyuc8JfBDyRaZ2RaI67zMv9FBUwIGl0MUrKmUTZuScw/s3405/20221012_191922.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3405" data-original-width="2650" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJfyPH7dQkXE21V2c4HrB-1D49t308B_w2NzTgK1tZm3F5XNE5ymXhS2JVTyOeCVsPpJGun5_mzW5up3iJ_4CiTZlFT-ju_pFiVDXjMNG0lU4T0Ff9KCpzTj7MLxixBR1Nj1LpEuYHoDhX4-FQyuc8JfBDyRaZ2RaI67zMv9FBUwIGl0MUrKmUTZuScw/s320/20221012_191922.jpg" width="249" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>Janeenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08558127854905817842noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4054984910798746600.post-82268606419658224422022-10-21T15:40:00.003-07:002022-10-21T15:40:30.288-07:00SPOOKY<p><a href="https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-spooky/"> SPOOKY</a> It's what's up at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge. </p><p>I got my cute Little Boo Stamps from Unity and paired with the stencil and mask set from My Favorite Things this turned into a cute card for my daughter. Using the stencil part I painted the center green with a water brush and crushed olive distress ink for a streaky kind of look. I repeatedly stamped the skeletons and fussy cut one guy out. He still looked a bit lost and i decided to highlight him with orange and make him glow. Then the orange sequins kind of finished out the look. Thanks for stopping by. I looked at the video cover for this movie and based my card off from that. I don't have a Snoopy dog stamp and thought this sweet little mouse looked like he happened upon the tree in the woods and just appreciated it. The blue background is a stencil from My Favorite things. The set has the watercolor look of a stencil and a mask both together. Now looking at this picture I think i need to go in and go over that tree a bit with a brown marker. Yep, I'm gong to do that. toodles! <br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi21iKWv-U3ecXG90yQkpoPZ6dKyXNl2pYvQLl9FwF37ZvDk-8L4FBfCP1VA9mwiJ2qh8X_cIMX3WotJVYeXlprt7kmWU2zQ6gVrEOQJCYIZ-rjiepvL2-fqUjbxiLBoOLKf8mkQQAS2JmmbkQjmsvpFdbLtxCxPxqopcZIcD1AnxCq1uNOg60SngK6lw/s1908/20221009_144217.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1908" data-original-width="1566" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi21iKWv-U3ecXG90yQkpoPZ6dKyXNl2pYvQLl9FwF37ZvDk-8L4FBfCP1VA9mwiJ2qh8X_cIMX3WotJVYeXlprt7kmWU2zQ6gVrEOQJCYIZ-rjiepvL2-fqUjbxiLBoOLKf8mkQQAS2JmmbkQjmsvpFdbLtxCxPxqopcZIcD1AnxCq1uNOg60SngK6lw/s320/20221009_144217.jpg" width="263" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>Janeenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08558127854905817842noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4054984910798746600.post-41826076296530144682022-10-09T19:06:00.000-07:002022-10-09T19:06:50.073-07:00S is for Snow<p> A few frosty flakes and we have the SNOW challenge covered over at the <a href="https://abcchristmaschallenge.blogspot.com/2022/09/abc-christmas-challenge-s-or-t.html">ABC Christmas Challenge </a>page. The snowflakes are from some retired company and been in my stash for awhile. I always love the look of Buffalo plaid and have really gotten my use out of this Buffalo Plaid background stamp from Stampin Up. I thought this made a nice background for my vintage Frosty to sit on. He's from Prickley Pear Stamps and may be retired also. I couple of gems for a bright spot because it's Christmas after all and he was good to go. Oh wait, R is for REINDEER in the <a href="https://abcchristmaschallenge.blogspot.com/2022/08/abc-christmas-challenge-p-q-and-r.html">ABC Christmas Challenge for August</a>. I made him into Rudolph by adding a gem to his nose. It was fun to use up several pieces of scrap designer paper. I really am making a dent in my pile of Christmas scraps. I stamped my deer in green in the spirit of Christmas and fussy cut him. This is a VERY old Stampin Up image. I rather like how it turned out. I used four die cuts from old patterned paper pack and popped them on top of a panel embossed with a Tim Holtz December calendar embossing folder. I fussy cut the little Santa head and added it to the last little frame. Some glitzy ribbon and it was a simple card after all. <br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAIDnfr9BPbc6yKE__GvVqmiiUsj1EQb3FG_jGlWuhYg5crVHJzfs-3tTNgs4FdmKbk52ITZU0JnPj9S5k2cdil0bDLTcMXAJA-tx1PZeS7jcTJfOHvJxx3W7UUEfU8JcN5ldKfdZ7Y4JfrArWN_QnOZJ_pg6-XmjxMnoTGu-G---RPaJOFHiM6X7E_g/s2786/20220818_155723.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2242" data-original-width="2786" height="258" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAIDnfr9BPbc6yKE__GvVqmiiUsj1EQb3FG_jGlWuhYg5crVHJzfs-3tTNgs4FdmKbk52ITZU0JnPj9S5k2cdil0bDLTcMXAJA-tx1PZeS7jcTJfOHvJxx3W7UUEfU8JcN5ldKfdZ7Y4JfrArWN_QnOZJ_pg6-XmjxMnoTGu-G---RPaJOFHiM6X7E_g/s320/20220818_155723.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>Janeenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08558127854905817842noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4054984910798746600.post-62000783267746949722022-09-02T16:30:00.001-07:002022-09-02T16:38:44.175-07:00P is for Pink<p> Pink it is! I love this image from Unity Stamp company. It's so easy to color and just looks so real to me. I loved it the first time I saw it and have used it quite often. I'm not even really that big a fan of poinsettias but something about this called my name. I was so glad for this challenge because I never would have thought to put gray in with this and I love the accent it gives. I used an old MFT stamp set called Fancy Flowers and the dies. I love how MFT dies cut so close to the image. I mounted all on the de-bossed side of separate panel that kind of matched these flowers. I'm using a new pack of plaid designer paper. I just love plaids especially at Christmas time and the diagonal print really caught my eye. I'm using this sweet little girl from Door County Rubber Stamps. I used a new to me technique by embossing the designer paper with and embossing folder and then going over it lightly with a white ink pad. It was enjoyable to make this card without rushing at holiday time. Thank you ABC for helping us with this aspect of the holidays. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsP8xH0fZt8G-A6V5vOTrKJ6Lj7IOrfayUKgIuwlEJ55VnIjF6bDIaoA739NKaMC3wmBgUs7i5Zsk25bMW22fc3E-f-L3sVwVV9TG96KJXxEJoErJ-P1KXEuOH431GGIoVvdaLe34Dr12w-HyUk6S0FUVCfTsoOW0OURPmFkVyn5cBN6hyAAlrpQS00Q/s2346/20220725_182215.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2346" data-original-width="1846" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsP8xH0fZt8G-A6V5vOTrKJ6Lj7IOrfayUKgIuwlEJ55VnIjF6bDIaoA739NKaMC3wmBgUs7i5Zsk25bMW22fc3E-f-L3sVwVV9TG96KJXxEJoErJ-P1KXEuOH431GGIoVvdaLe34Dr12w-HyUk6S0FUVCfTsoOW0OURPmFkVyn5cBN6hyAAlrpQS00Q/w315-h400/20220725_182215.jpg" width="315" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>Janeenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08558127854905817842noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4054984910798746600.post-49017033341917543382022-06-28T19:12:00.002-07:002022-06-28T19:12:45.279-07:00M is for Music<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjV0msNZciasDkBHIdbaxBD5ULIYRMSXyR_CU7LP9F1g_PX4OWuFfn5ScN4pntfVE0wZy8PBQIxnYIs5sRLGfBc9tXlox7jmXqPy87RPjP2rVp5l9HFuv08-aVfaXaA4YYTh2tcGVC1ljpQccgZz4JfeaOyc5cej_HSOapq87hJLAqXOt2qr_h6vNsc9g/s1926/20220626_191745.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1926" data-original-width="1426" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjV0msNZciasDkBHIdbaxBD5ULIYRMSXyR_CU7LP9F1g_PX4OWuFfn5ScN4pntfVE0wZy8PBQIxnYIs5sRLGfBc9tXlox7jmXqPy87RPjP2rVp5l9HFuv08-aVfaXaA4YYTh2tcGVC1ljpQccgZz4JfeaOyc5cej_HSOapq87hJLAqXOt2qr_h6vNsc9g/w296-h400/20220626_191745.jpg" width="296" /></a></div><br /> <span style="font-size: medium;">This card for <a href="https://abcchristmaschallenge.blogspot.com/2022/06/abc-christmas-challenge-l-m-are-for.html">ABC Christmas Challenge</a> came together so nicely and I really love how it turned out. I always say I never know what is going to come forth from my hands when i begin creating a card. M is for Music. I used a sentiment with the word Music in it. Stamped on a postage style die cut. I stamped the manger image in black and blended some blue ink over it. I fussy cut out the baby in the manger and laid it over an already stamped image. Added some glitter gel pen in silver for the aura and barely colored the face in Prisma. A touch of gray prisma outlines the babe in the manger. I think I will make a few more like this and use up the rest of that designer paper I've had hanging around for twenty years. <br /></span><p></p>Janeenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08558127854905817842noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4054984910798746600.post-4422470226436781272022-06-26T18:07:00.002-07:002022-06-26T18:07:48.111-07:00L is for Little<p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4wq2iR1wPI_yOaLsutjV9GLxZK3iOIxbkUZSqF5q1BRuliZzb_mEEE0LM-P8zbvatMM82gO6tkvop6yMwtJOqKhScVSBQdVCAP3NSZwr1km6XXYyqYMRNsKKEHu8rSz4PwlaUnsoLC-J7Oca4VLI2vXUh6AD8_dNmV4W-2-T7tr-2je9cBkjgAgBdqg/s2222/20220626_142945.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2222" data-original-width="1630" height="334" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4wq2iR1wPI_yOaLsutjV9GLxZK3iOIxbkUZSqF5q1BRuliZzb_mEEE0LM-P8zbvatMM82gO6tkvop6yMwtJOqKhScVSBQdVCAP3NSZwr1km6XXYyqYMRNsKKEHu8rSz4PwlaUnsoLC-J7Oca4VLI2vXUh6AD8_dNmV4W-2-T7tr-2je9cBkjgAgBdqg/w248-h334/20220626_142945.jpg" width="248" /></a></div><a href="https://abcchristmaschallenge.blogspot.com/2022/06/abc-christmas-challenge-l-m-are-for.html">ABC Christmas Challenge</a> is such a great place to play along and get your holiday cards made all through the year. This month L is for little. I used a small image and also a very small sentiment. Small trees adorn the patterned paper on the bottom. I've always admired designers who can blend two different kinds of patterned paper together and bonus points if they come from two different packs. I quite like the way this turned out. I used a gold gel pen to trace over the pierced line the scalloped die made. I had fun making this card. I didn't have any stamps with HO HO HO on them. I could hardly believe that. Well, maybe I do have one hiding somewhere. I decided to cut and piece together HO from the word HELLO. I used some very old My Favorite Things sentiment dies. I used prismas for coloring and added real fur to the hat for fun. Thanks for stopping by. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_KOVip1BuYlpZXNAAKwn6G8C5zhRQkVylfqYDfeOOa25lNzd4LeVgFZ-6-lSATWCjribfPkE7V_wcQN9gFnqBXcTM6SdAcRl4OkVotIfVAjSC1TParRRD48O6j3Y1YBDF-v9Ug3WBXdjJcit7MQHwdX4debNqoY7jZicWKZMVKQ_omXN6MP2vxGbd5g/s800/ho%20ho%20ho.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="578" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_KOVip1BuYlpZXNAAKwn6G8C5zhRQkVylfqYDfeOOa25lNzd4LeVgFZ-6-lSATWCjribfPkE7V_wcQN9gFnqBXcTM6SdAcRl4OkVotIfVAjSC1TParRRD48O6j3Y1YBDF-v9Ug3WBXdjJcit7MQHwdX4debNqoY7jZicWKZMVKQ_omXN6MP2vxGbd5g/s320/ho%20ho%20ho.jpg" width="231" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>Janeenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08558127854905817842noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4054984910798746600.post-57416044610937410592022-03-31T13:22:00.001-07:002022-03-31T13:22:14.508-07:00ABC Christmas Card Challenge "G"<p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0r5bNXxp1n1ohWPIagVrDWgYkW6gGkGedE5wSifEIeGaiJPlFgRm8M8_TdnZ7V8UZqCeMtxbz-EWS6NVvDLC83DsoJOR-JWu4yf87q_PAeWwZ9bm4pHI8F9ug4sRhaZPgtm8UGv4z3zbo-a4aCkcjOWuy6bzN7eTgu04MSElNg7RzFcOPTs6TX4extg/s2560/20220326_145702.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2186" data-original-width="2560" height="273" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0r5bNXxp1n1ohWPIagVrDWgYkW6gGkGedE5wSifEIeGaiJPlFgRm8M8_TdnZ7V8UZqCeMtxbz-EWS6NVvDLC83DsoJOR-JWu4yf87q_PAeWwZ9bm4pHI8F9ug4sRhaZPgtm8UGv4z3zbo-a4aCkcjOWuy6bzN7eTgu04MSElNg7RzFcOPTs6TX4extg/s320/20220326_145702.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Oxygen;">G is for Glitter.
