Here's a couple of pics of the cards I made for the troops. We have had a lot of family members in the military.
Our niece Rachel Bosveld gave the ultimate sacrifice on October 26, 2003. Oh my, can it be seven years already? She was buried on her 20th birthday. Here is a picture of her.
Oh I am so sorry to hear about your niece Janeen, so tragic, and scary especially for those of us who have family members who are active duty military currently - we are so proud of them, but worry about them as well. My hubby just returned from a year long deployment in July and I am so happy to have him home. What a lovely tribute to Rachel! These cares are so beautiful and I KNOW the troops love being able to use them (I know my hubby did while he was over there). Always nice to meet a fellow OWH supporter. Thank you so much for your contribution!

I am SO happy you won, Janeen! thank you for the time and effort you put into these works of heart, I hope every one heals your loss a little bit and lifts you up the way you are choosing to lift up others! So sorry to read about young Rachel, what a beautiful, amazing woman, how proud you all must be. Blessings to you and your family,

Janeeen, Congratulations on your win.
ReplyDeleteI just now read the story of your niece for the first time. How very sad =(
You are an amazing person and I am sure that
every single card you have sent over to the troops is very much appreciated.
I wanted to thank you for sending my friend such a wonderful and uplifting card. He was touched, as I was.
Thank you for helping in renewing his faith that there are still wonderful people left in this world.
