Speedy the cat’s challenge #65
We were challenged to use at least three hearts on our project. I was saved by having this Cuttlebug embossing folder in my stash! I have no heart stamps from MFP yet.
The images are from the Planted with Love set from MFP. So many ways to use this set, I’m having so much fun with it.
I took my ink pad and ran it over the inside of the embossing folder before running it through the Cuttlebug. It gave the impressions a nice soft green color, reminiscent of a garden, don’t you think? The strips are some plastic ribbon I still have in my stash. It’s almost gone now, hooray! But I did have fun with it. And the final touch, the twine bow. THIS is by far the best twine I have found anywhere. It’s soft but still has structure, it’s easy to work with, and ties beautifully. I tell you, MFP has some really nice things besides stamps and paper. Check them out for great deals.
Janeen--this turned out soooooo cute!!!! I just love it!! TFS
ReplyDeleteWell how creative how you?? Real creative, I would never thought to use this folder for hearts. Fabulous card.
ReplyDeleteHugs & Blessings :)
Becky, I had help with the idea from Patty. Thanks to her. :)
ReplyDeleteJaneen, you really rose to the challenge! So proud of you for coming up with this super clever heart card. Love the little sunflower peeking out, and the way you inked up the embossing folder. PS - I don't own any hearts from MFP either, so I challenged my own self!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by - Love that trick with the ink in the folder, I will be using that!!
ReplyDeleteJaneen what a clever idea to use that embossing folder for the heart requirement of the challenge. The colors are fabulous on this. Very cute card.

ReplyDeleteI like that technique of inking before embossing...it gives a really nice subtle color. The sunshine is perfect for this. ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a SWEET card! Perfect embossing folder & love the subtle inked effect on the background! Even the flower petals have a heart shape!
ReplyDeleteJaneen this is a great take on the challenge. Using that EF was brilliant for the hearts and the sentiment went with it perfectly!
