Gilbert loved his card. He said the popped up frame looks like real leather and had to feel it to be sure. He thought maybe he should smell it to be sure. ha ha.
This card is similar to one I made before with this image. You can find the first card, HERE, if you care to compare them. Even though last time I gave credit as Susan Louise image several commented how perfect my coloring was. I want to make sure you know that these images come pre-colored. All I do to the image is use Ranger distress inks and sponge around the images and add my sentiments. You can build a card quickly with these. You really will enjoy seeing all her images. Even the moon comes from Susan Louise. Everything is printed on Ranger Specialty paper and when you sponge around with color you can also do the water drop technique to remove color. You can see that on this card. I will enter this into Simon's Bright Cards challenge. I used my favorite Simon's Double Stitched dies.
Sentiment is from CTMH

This is a perfect masculine card. And yep, that blue paper really looks like leather. I guess it passed the sniff test though. I love what you do with these pre-colored images. I always feel like I'm cheating when I use them but it is still a handmade card!
ReplyDeleteAdding the water drops was genius, Janeen! And, Gilbert is right, your frame does look like it's made of leather! It's a really gorgeous card!! Happy Valentine's Day! Hugs, Darnell
