new names

Reinventing things…yep, old techniques come back if you have been in the stamping world as long as i have.  What used to be called “Two Step Stamping” is now called color layering.  ha ha  for some reason that just tickles my funny bone.  Here’s my card with this new technique with some very old stampin up two step stamps.  bwhhhaaa.   This looks like a good card to enter into Word Art Wednesday.  I’m glad i had the inspiration for those little sentiment banners as it finishes the card off nicely don’t you think?   I did go in and add another orange flower on the left to balance off that white space.  Simon Says Wednesday is having an Anything Goes challenge this week.  I will enter this there.

  2. I was laughing when "Ombre" was all the rage. That used to be called Color Variegation or something like that. I wasn't interested in it then nor this time around. I can totally get into two step stamping or color layering if you must. Your card is quite elegant. I like how it captures the feel of water coloring. Next time let's call it "dry water coloring" okay?!

  3. I love how you take the "new techniques" in stride, choosing humor. Your card is lovely. So glad to have found you through Word Art Wednesday's Challenge.
