Simon’s Monday Challenge is using Stencils. I love my stencils. This time though I took my little doily die from Top Dog dies and used it as a stencil.
I used some matte embossing paste to smear over the die cut. Let it dry and then inked up the little images with some very light handed peacock feathers distress ink.
I had seen Vicky P do that on a recent video and thought the intricate little edges were so sweet. Something that sweet needed this unused Door County Kids stamp to go with it. I added some dots for movement with my favorite Judith stamp stick and the sentiment is from Unity. I smeared the bottom with a bit of ink and that is why I cut the little piece and put it over the word Friend. I kind of like the look though.
A little bit of patriotic colors added and I think it turned out so adorable.
This card is adorable! I love the stamp you used and the colouring is fantastic. Perfect stenciled frame too - and a great save with the ink smearing (I do that a lot too with sentiments). Thank you so much for sharing with us at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!!
