It’s been years and years since I found this stamp and I laughed and thought it was so fun. I have used it off and on over the years but of course it doesn’t get a whole lot of use. But I don’t want to let it go, it’s one of those, ya want it for when ya need it kind of stamps.
The challenge for this idea came from a challenge posted to create a dream vacation that you have never done. Well I always thought it would be fun to go on one of those stamping class weekends to a place on any of the coasts except the north route. Wouldn’t it be fun to take a water color class with an expert? With that theme in mind I spritzed some water color paper and took a couple of small back ground stamps I have been wanting to use and inked them up with Ranger Distress inks. Spritzed again, really well and picked the piec up and let the colors run a bit, blew them around a bit with the heat gun and then blotted them with a baby wipe. Since it’s a dream it needed stars and sequins and then of course the little elephants are just spewing out water. It’s all good.
The Monday Challenge at Simon Says this week is Let’s get Artsy and so I shall enter my artsy piece into their challenge.
Wouldn't it be fun some time to meet up at a class somewhere!!!! Somewhere easy to get around in! Very fun card! Love the bright colors and fun sequins. That sentiment is terrific!
ReplyDeleteSuch a bright card full of fun and perfect for summer. Thank you so much for sharing your project and for joining us over at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog... :)
ReplyDeleteThis card has so much awesome in it!!!! I have done stamp camps and the like and while fun, I also find them very tiring. I can't image a trip on top of that.
