when I receive an order from someone, I like to give a little also. I make simple cards to add a free card to their order. these whimsey greetings were perfect to cut out and add some pizzaz to a simple card. And here is another pink one that went into the order. I thought this technique that Jennifer McQuire just revisited was such a cool look. You can see her post HERE. The background color is done with a distress ink pad direct to paper and then the pearlized water stamped image removes the color. I guess this would count for the water color challenge on Simon. I used Victorian Velvet distress ink and made my own pearlized water spritz to spray my stamp with.
Wow! What a great take on our challenge theme! I love that concept of removing the color with water-- it gives the image such a romantic almost magical feel. And that rose was the perfect stamp to use! It looks so elegant and lovely and the metallic "thank you" really finishes it off perfectly. I also like the dot detail around the border and the adorable scalloped edge. You've pulled the elements of this card together so nicely and it was a joy to see. Thanks for sharing your talents with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
ReplyDeleteLove the ghosting look of that rose--so elegant!
