Playing along with My Favorite Things Sketch challenge MFTWSC278 I have long wanted a fun way to use these border embossing folders and I always seemed stumped. This was a great sketch for these cute buttons. I also used MFT’s Sew Nifty sentiment and a button from their Antique Button dies. I do get a lot of play out of these buttons. Glad i bought them. For the sentiment panel i used a piece of magic tape in the center of the panel and then sponged around it and peeled it off. I thought it looked a bit bare and decided to add some neutral gray embroidery thread that i pulled apart from the skein. Just the right finishing touch.

ReplyDeleteDuh! I just had a lightbulb moment. I avoid challenges with buttons because I don't like the bulk, but I have these embossed buttons! They are the bomb for no bulk. I really like this card design. Brilliant!
