Vellum and stamp #147

Many of you know that I have been on a USE it UP and don’t buy more holding pattern for a couple of years now.  That’s off and on again, of course.  However I am being very judicious about the purchase I am making.  It has to be really clearance priced, like thirty-nine to seventy-nine cents.  And Cardstock and adhesives are allowed.  That was at my most strict self, Which I did for an entire eighteen months.  Now I am allowing myself 8x8 paper packs to be included and a few other embellishments if they are marked down.

Anyway, because of that I ended up using my vellum to create some sympathy cards and then WHAM!! I started seeing people pulling their vellum out again.  I tell ya, I AM A TRENDSETTER.  So here ya go, some vellum to fit in with the trend that no one knows I started.  Open-mouthed smile   I used my little powdering sachet thingee to dust the vellum and then embossed with Versafine ink and black detail embossing powder.  IRL I pushed the ribbon closer to the vellum piece to cover up the edge but I just didn’t feel like going back to take another photo.  Smile

  2. Janeen this card touched a remembrance nerve. I once made a tooth pick bridge over troubled waters for my mother for her birthday. She treasured it even when finally fell apart. She gave it back to me not too long before she passed to be repaired. I never did repair it but I often thought of doing one again in remembrance. Beautiful card. Thank you for that memory.

  3. Beautiful! Ha! You are a trendsetter, now how do we let the general public know it was YOU that restarted the vellum trend? :) I love this! Gorgeous sentiment and image. So fun to see the stamped image on the vellum! Beautiful card!
